General terms and conditions of sale for the Kids Solo Option
- from 12 up to the age of 17 traveling on domestic flights in Metropolitan France and to the French Overseas Departments (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guiana, Reunion) and Regions (French Polynesia and New Caledonia);
- from 15 up to the age of 17 on all Air France medium-haul and long-haul flights.

2. Description of the Kids Solo Option
When booking a Kids Solo Option, the Customer agrees to provide Air France with accurate information and not to make a booking if he/she does not meet the conditions defined herein. Otherwise, Air France will be obliged to refuse the booking of a Kids Solo Option. The Customer shall provide the following information:
- contact details (mobile telephone and address) of the person accompanying the minor child to the airport;
- contact details (mobile telephone and address) of the person who will collect the minor child on arrival;
- the minor must be in possession of all travel documents relating to police and border controls (national ID card or passport, visa, authorization to leave the country, etc.) or health formalities (health record or PCR test, etc.). It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the minor child has all the necessary documents and certificates for crossing national borders.
3. Conditions for booking a Kids Solo Option and restrictions
3.1. Any Customer booking a Kids Solo Option declares that he/she is able to enter into a contract, that he/she has read the general terms and conditions of sale herein and accepts them without reservation. 3.2. The Kids Solo Option may only be booked by the Customer for his/her minor child or by a person duly authorized by the minor child’s legal representative to book a Kids Solo Option in his/her name and on his/her behalf, hereafter referred to as “Principal”. In the latter case, the Principal is deemed to have read and accepted the Conditions herein. The Customer vouches for the Principal’s compliance with all of these Conditions. 3.3. The minor child travelling with the Kids Solo Option may not access the Air France lounges. 3.4. A Customer may purchase, subject to availability, a Kids Solo Option on Air France flights - - at the time of purchasing their ticket online (the Kids Solo Option cannot be booked separately from the airline ticket); - at an Air France ticket office and via the Air France call centers when purchasing the airline ticket; - from their usual travel agent when purchasing their ticket. 3.5. The Kids Solo Option can be booked online. People with reduced mobility requiring special services are advised to contact the Saphir service (via the “Contact us” section on the websites) before booking a Kids Solo Option.
4. Payment
4.1. The Customer can pay for a Kids Solo Option using one of the payment methods proposed on the website at the time of purchase. 4.2. Payment for the Kids Solo Option can be made in cash at an Air France ticket office when purchasing the airline ticket. 4.3 A Kids Solo Option is personal and non-transferable.
5. Refund conditions
5.1. Air France shall do everything in its power to honor the Kids Solo Option booking made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. However, the Customer is hereby informed that Air France may be obliged, for operational reasons linked to safety and/or security requirements, or operational irregularities, to modify the Kids Solo Option reservation. In this case, Air France shall not be held liable and the Customer who was unable to make use of the Kids Solo Option booking made in accordance with the conditions set out in these Terms and Conditions, shall be refunded the cost in accordance with the terms and conditions defined in article 5.2 below. 5.2. The Customer who has booked a Kids Solo Option may only obtain a refund of the cost in the following cases - • the flight on which a Kids Solo Option was booked is cancelled; the Kids Solo Option could not be honored on the rescheduled flight, if applicable; • the Kids Solo Option could not be honored by Air France, for operational reasons linked to operational irregularities, safety and/or security requirements; • The Customer has purchased a Flex fare and decides to cancel the entire trip. 5.3. The Customer may request a refund of the cost of the Kids Solo Option by completing an online claim form accessible via the “Contact us” section on the websites. 5.4. The Customer who has reserved a Kids Solo Option may not obtain a refund of the cost, particularly when he/she has not respected or fulfilled the conditions defined in these Terms and Conditions. 5.5 The Kids Solo Option is associated with an Air France flight number and must be used on the day of departure of the flight for which the Customer has purchased a Kids Solo Option, except when the Customer has made a change prior to departure of the booked flight and subject to availability on the new flight.
6. Force majeure
Air France shall not be held liable and shall not be deemed to have breached its obligations in the event of non-provision of all or part of its services defined in the Terms and Conditions herein if such failure is due to force majeure, as defined or interpreted by French case law. In this case, the Customer shall not be entitled to claim any compensation, damages or interest for any direct or indirect damage suffered as a result of the failure to provide the services.
7. Data security and confidentiality policy

Any claim concerning the reservation, payment and/or provision of the Kids Solo Option service shall be addressed to Air France via the online claim form accessible via the “Claims” link in the “Contact us” section on the airfrance.com website.
9. Modification of these general terms and conditions of sale
Air France reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Subscriptions to the Option shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale in force at the time of booking, unless a change to these General Terms and Conditions of Sale is required by law or a governmental authority (in which case this change will also apply to all orders already placed).
10. Applicable law
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise indicated in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
